Rapides Parish Sheriff Office is inviting the public to become part of the 7th Session of the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office Citizens Academy. “The Citizens Academy was created to inform the public of the daily functions of their Sheriff’s Office. This gives the public an inside look at all of our divisions and not just the Deputies they see patrolling their areas” said Sheriff Hilton.

The Citizens Academy will offer a course of instruction that introduces and discusses the different divisions within the Sheriff’s Office and how they all work together to serve the public. The Citizens Academy will start on Tuesday March 12, 2013 and will meet every Tuesday night for 8 weeks. Classes are from 6 pm to 9 pm at the RPSO Training Center at the intersection of Old Boyce Rd at Airbase Rd. There is no cost for this training and all supplies are provided by RPSO.
